Great article - I thing you explained the range of features really well as a researcher. I have found little explaination elsewhere of the Lyceum software functions and design specs. Is this actually made public? It would cretainly help rather than trying to double guess ;-)
I think it could be very important to make the specification for the database structuring public as this in my opinion is one of the interesting elements of Lyceum.
You start to touch on it, but it seems like the pool of all the tables does make the specific tables bigger targets. However, any infringement of the database is too much!
Anyway thanks for the article - excellent work. I really mean that.
If you need Lyceum support, use the email list or IRC
channel. If you have found a bug, file a ticket or send
email to lyceum-bugs AT lists DOT ibiblio DOT org.

Great article, thanks. We’re looking at MU and Lyceum to replace some single-user WP installs.
Q: does Lyceum support Akismet? That service has been working very, very nicely for us.
TIA,

Yes, Lyceum supports most plugins, including Akismet. We are still experimenting to make sure that all parts of the architecture get along.
Try out the new nightly with Akismet and let us know your results!
